 nd reception. Attendees will hear from <a href="https://diversity.med.wustl
 .edu/people/will-r-ross/">Dr. Will Ross</a>\, Associate Dean for Diversity\
 , Principal Officer for Community Partnerships\, and Alumni Endowed Profess
 or of Medicine in Nephrology. Dr. Ross will discuss <em>‘The Future of Publ
 ic Health and Community Engagement.’</em></p><p><strong>All are welcome to 
 attend</strong>. We hope you will join us to learn\, reflect\, and engage w
 ith your community.</p><p>Refreshments will be served upstairs in the FLTC

 ty.med.wustl.edu/people/will-r-ross/">Will Ross</a>\, MD\, MPH\, is associa
 te dean for diversity\, principal officer for community partnerships\, and 
 alumni endowed professor of medicine in the Nephrology Division at Washingt
 on University School of Medicine. He has overseen diversity and inclusion a
 nd community engagement for three decades\, creating durable pipeline progr
 ams to develop a diverse workforce of students\, residents and faculty in m
 edicine and public health. Those efforts include broadening the societal un
 derstanding of the social determinants of health\, improving medicine\, pub
 lic health and STEM workforce diversity\, and expanding the school of medic
 ine’s local public health footprint.</p></div></div><p>He has promoted heal
 th equity locally\, nationally and globally through collaborations with the
  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)\, and public health offic
 ials in Ethiopia and Haiti. He is the co-founder of Casa de Salud Latino He
 alth Center. Dr. Ross is board chair and founding member of the Collegiate 
 School of Medicine and Bioscience\, a magnet health professions high school
  in St. Louis. He has received and administered federal and local grants to
  attract underrepresented students and trainees into careers in STEM and me
 dicine fields. He is a past member of the Center for Disease Control and Pr
 evention’s Health Disparities Committee\, where he helped incorporate socia
 l determinants of health in the CDC promotions framework and Healthy People
  2020. He and is a founding associate editor of the public health journal\,
  Frontiers in Public Health Education and Promotion.</p><hr class="wp-block
