Course Description: Every leader has the opportunity to shape a workplace where people can thrive. I n this session\, we’ll explore the CARE approach and discuss how creating c larity\, amplifying belonging\, reinforcing growth\, and enabling ownership can transform the employee experience. You’ll leave with practical ideas a nd simple leadership practices you can immediately apply to build a workpla ce that’s both productive and enjoyable.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this session\, participants will be able to desc
ribe at least 3 key elements of productive and enjoyable workplaces\, ident
ify at least 2 tactics to implement in your workplace to improve morale and
/or productivity\, and identify at least three colleagues across WashU with
whom they can connect regarding Reflective Supervision.
Targ et Audience: This workshop is for all Washington University in St. Louis staff who serve as people managers and supervisors.

Ivory partners with leaders to navigate the people side of busin ess. She provides strategic guidance on employee relations\, performance ma nagement\, talent development\, workforce planning\, organizational change\ , and employee engagement\, helping leaders build workplaces where both peo ple and organizations can thrive. Grounded in both expertise and empathy\, Ivory approaches HR as a strategic partner\, coach\, and trusted advisor. S he is passionate about helping leaders navigate complex conversations\, str engthen teams\, and create cultures rooted in clarity\, belonging\, growth\ , and accountability. Her experience includes serving as an ELP Team Coach through WashU’s Institute for Leadership Excellence and working within HR t eams at the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis\, Amazo n\, and WashU. Ivory holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Concor dia University Chicago and enjoys speaking on leadership\, workplace cultur e\, and employee experience. Outside of work\, she enjoys sharing laughs wi th family and friends\, reading\, tennis\, and music.
