 Consider the last time you delivered or received feedback as a manager: wer
 e you filled with joy or dread? If you fall into that second camp\, let’s t
 alk! For many of us\, being on both sides of the feedback loop can be anxie
 ty-inducing and challenging. In this session\, we will talk through strateg
 ies to become more confident and effective in both giving and receiving fee
 dback. Let’s maximize the potential we have in these conversations by appro
 aching them with care and clarity. In this workshop\, we will be using an i
 nteractive approach to discuss strategies to improve our relationship with 
 feedback.</p><p><strong>Course Objectives:</strong><br />By the end of this
  session\, participants will be able to describe components of effective fe
 edback and apply multiple techniques in delivering actionable feedback. Lea
 rners will also be able to plan opportunities to collect useful feedback\, 
 demonstrate how to professionally receive feedback\, and implement feedback
  accurately and effectively.</p><p><strong>Target Audience</strong>: This w
 orkshop is for all Washington University in St. Louis staff who serve as pe
 ople managers and supervisors.</p><p><strong>Facilitator: </strong>Sarah Mu
 rphy\, M.A. Senior Education & Engagement Lead</p><p>Sarah Murphy is an edu
 cator and organizational scholar who specializes in facilitating more funct
 ional futures through adult learning and culture change. She earned a Maste
 r of Arts in Educational Leadership\, Politics\, and Advocacy from New York
  University\, and completed PhD-level coursework in WashU’s Department of E
 ducation before embarking on a career in industry (rather than research). S
 he has partnered with organizations of all sizes locally and nationally to 
 help bring the best-laid plans to life. Sarah also writes creative nonficti
 on and loves living in St. Louis City in between epic road trips to the mou
 ntains.</p><p><strong>An important note:</strong> This session is being hel
