Our department is offering four Pr ofessional Development Core Workshops\, one per month\, beginning in November 2022 through February 2023. Each month there will be a 1-hour w orkshop on a development topic\, a 1-hour workshop on a fundamental self-aw areness or skill topic\, and an optional Calm-based short course learning p rogram.
Coaching Skills for Peers and Mentors Skills Workshop
Coaching is a skill set that can be effectively used at
every level and for peers\, reports\, and even in managing up. It also reli
es on some of the same communication framework learned in Crucial Conversat
ions®. We will teach and practice these skills\, and the partici
pants will then have homework – coach one another at regular intervals to c
omplete the Intentional Change cycle. This will add a great skillset for de
veloping others\, foster a coaching-culture within the group\, and increase
accountability for the changes our participants elect to make.
