Course Description:
Even when resources and time are limited\, creativity is always endless. Co
llaboration can offer the opportunity to create mutually beneficial solutio
ns to common challenges. In this session\, our featured speaker will give p
ractical strategies to form strategic collaborations. Then\, you will have
an opportunity to connect with other leaders across campus to brainstorm wa
ys to apply new techniques to break down barriers to establish new bonds.
Course Objectives:
By the end of this session\,
participants will be able to identify common challenges in collaborative ef
forts\, plan action items to go from idea to execution alongside another co
lleague or department\, and apply strategies to create and sustain meaningf
ul partnerships. Participants will also be able to identify colleagues acro
ss WashU with whom they can connect regarding this topic.

F acilitator: Apryle Gladney\, Vice Chancellor and Chief Human Resou rces Officer
Apryle M. Gladney\, SPHR\, SHRM-SCP\, vice chancellor an d chief human resources officer (CHRO)\, has held multiple HR-related title s throughout her employment at WashU. As the CHRO\, Gladney manages the uni versity’s HR team\, which include recruitment\, benefits\, compensation\, H R operations\, Workday/HRIS\, reporting\, compliance\, engagement\, communi cations and professional development and leadership excellence. In her prev ious leadership roles at WashU\, she oversaw all aspects of employee relati ons and human resources operations\, including compliance\, talent acquisit ion and faculty appointments. Prior to joining WashU in 2000\, she was the interim health center manager and human resources and organizational develo pment consultant at BJC HealthCare and consulted for Missouri Baptist Medic al Center.
Gladney graduated from Saint Louis University with a degre e in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and human resour ce management.
