Bulenda is originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo and came to the U.S. in 2015 after living in Uganda for 11 years. She joined the Department of Anesthesiology as one of two fellows for the inaugural ASSURE Program in the summer of 2021. Throughout the program, her curiosity for research grew as she was able to gain insight into research and how much people have benefited from the results. Serving people has always been a large part of her upbringing, so she strives to do the same. She continues to work in the Haroutounian Lab following her graduation. Outside of work, Bulenda likes listening to music, cleaning around the house, exploring new places, doing makeup, and watching K-dramas and C-dramas.
