Reducing Carbon Footprint in Pediatric Anesthesiology: The Greenhouse Gas Project
The Greenhouse Gas Project, an initiative in the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology, targets various factors contributing to high GHG emissions, with particular emphasis on nitrous oxide. By prioritizing sustainability, the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology is not only reducing its carbon footprint, but also setting a precedent for other institutions to follow—showing how healthcare can play a crucial role in safeguarding the environment for future generations.
Celebrating Dr. Markowitz’s contributions as he departs
We thank Dr. Markowitz for his valuable contributions as a leader and appreciate that he is leaving the PDDEI/W office in such great hands with a successful handoff to three outstanding and experienced leaders. The 36th Annual C.R. Stephen Lecture: Pioneering Precision in Critical Care
The Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine proudly hosted its 36th Annual C.R. Stephen Lecture on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Eric P. Newman Education Center. This annual lecture honors the legacy of C. Ronald Stephen, MD, FFARCS, the first chairman of the department in 1971.
