In recognition of LGBTQ+ History Month, this Perspectives session will explore how sex, gender, and identity are often understood through a binary framework—one or the other. We’ll consider how these assumptions shape our understanding of identity, influence social norms, and affect the ways we interact with one another.
Perspectives offers a space for informed discussion, reflection, and relationship-building—all important to fostering a healthy and inclusive workplace culture. Join us as we examine familiar definitions, explore perspectives that extend beyond binary thinking, and consider how greater understanding can help create a WashU Medicine community where people of all identities feel valued and respected.
Light refreshments will be provided. Come ready for conversation, reflection, and new perspectives! Please RSVP here to join us.
