Tel Aviv, Israel

Dr. Menelaos Karanikolas, professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, recently traveled to Israel as part of an educational program organized by American Healthcare Professionals for Medicine in Israel. Based in Tel Aviv, he visited multiple institutions across the country—including Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Rambam Health Care Campus, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and the Israel National Blood Services Center—to learn about Israel’s approaches to trauma care and mass casualty response.

Through lectures, site visits, simulation exercises, and discussions with local clinicians, Dr. Karanikolas gained insight into best practices in managing severe trauma and large-scale emergencies. His participation reflects our department’s commitment to ongoing learning, global collaboration, and advancing preparedness in critical care.
