Learning & Performance Objectives
This is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary led airway management course that is designed and implemented interprofessionally for Anesthesiologists, ER Physicians, Critical Care Physicians, ENT Surgeons, CRNAs, and Nurse Practitioners. This course may also be of interest to Physician’s Assistants. The 7 hour live course includes didactic lectures by Airway experts, hands-on practice workshops and simulation. It will provide updates on current evidence and a refresher on airway management skills. The goal of this one-day course is to enhance knowledge, skills/strategy, performance and patient care.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Predict a difficult airway and make an appropriate plan for airway
    management.
  • Refresh the knowledge and skills on Fiberoptic Bronchoscopic
    (FOB) Intubation.
  • Integrate the use of supraglottic airways and combination
    strategies with FOB Intubation in the management of a challenging airway.
  • Acquire an insight on the role of Human Factors and team work in
    a difficult airway management setting.
  • Refresh the knowledge on One Lung Ventilation, Jet Ventilation,
    Obstetrics and Pediatrics airway management.
