Allison Engel

Department of Anesthesiology Featured Member: September 2026

Allison Engel is a Grant Specialist in the Department of Anesthesiology. Allison’s role resides on the pre-award side, where she enjoys spending time aiding PIs with the grant submission process. Prior to joining the team at WashU Medicine, Allison graduated from Webster University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and completed a grant writing fellowship through Global Policy Horizons Research Lab.

In her free time, Allison enjoys reading, writing, and spending time in Tower Grove Park or the Botanical Gardens. You may also catch her trying out new coffee shops across the Saint Louis area.

A fun fact about Allison is she collects bookmarks from a wide variety of events, cities, and countries!
