Dr. Deepak Rajappa is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at WashU Medicine, where he joined in July 2025. He specializes in neuroanesthesiology and neurocritical care, bringing training and clinical experience spanning India, the United Kingdom, and now the United States.

Dr. Rajappa completed his DM in Neuroanaesthesiology and MD in Anaesthesia and Critical Care at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, India, and went on to serve as a Consultant at Sakra World Hospital in Bangalore before pursuing fellowships at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and Manchester Royal Infirmary in the UK. His academic contributions include numerous peer-reviewed publications and international conference presentations on topics ranging from intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring to outcomes following subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Outside of work, Dr. Rajappa enjoys hiking and photography.
