Originally from St. Louis, Lauren attended Western Illinois University where she earned her Bachelor of Music Therapy. She moved back home to St. Louis upon graduation and spent nine years working as a Board Certified Music Therapist in a hospice/bereavement setting. Lauren joined the Department of Anesthesiology in 2023 as a program coordinator to support the work of the DEI, health and wellness, and professional development team to further explore and promote these areas of passion. In her free time, Lauren enjoys going on walks in Tower Grove Park with her husband and their dog, watching movies at home with their two cats, and throwing gutter balls in a bowling league.
