PIA SAFE Retreat

8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Peers in Anesthesiology Supporting a Fair Environment (PIA SAFE) is a peer-based program in the Department of Anesthesiology aimed to help address concerns about negative behaviors, conflicts, and microaggressions experienced by members of the department.

Department members are invited to become a PIA SAFE Champion (join here) and join us for our first PIA SAFE Champions retreat. During this time, we will have presentations focusing on delivering feedback, upstander/bystander training, and anti-bias training, all with a heavy focus on the interactive practice of these skills.

We will also have some time for networking, team building, and brainstorming.

This will be facilitated by WashU’s Office of Human Resources, WashU’s Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and members of the Department of Anesthesiology.
