Joining a well-established mission trip, the 2019-2020 WashU Medicine Regional Anesthesiology Fellows, Drs. Wolfson and Kurtz, traveled to Bulacan Province, Philippines, to provide regional and general anesthesia for underserved patients requiring surgery.

Dr. Wolfson traveled to Guatemala for a two-week anesthesiology resident education exchange program at Roosevelt Hospital in Guatemala City.
Las Palomas, Dominican Republic
Drs. Levent Sahin, Molly McCormick, Janmes Whirtlin, and Rebeca Speltz
A team from the Department of Anesthesiology traveled to the Dominican Republic to lead a Regional Anesthesia Workshop in partnership with the SOFA-ILAC organization. Drs. Levent Sahin, Molly McCormick, James Whirtlin, and Rebeca Speltz worked with local anesthesia physicians in Las Palomas, providing hands-on training and education in regional anesthesia techniques.
San Salvador, El Salvador

Drs. Wolfson and Wirthlin, with fellow Dr. Speltz Paiz, were invited to Zacamil Hospital in San Salvidor, El Salvador, to lead a hands-on clinical workshop in modern-day regional anesthesia practices for local residents and faculty.
