Kelsey received her Bachelor of Journalism in strategic communication from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she also minored in Italian studies. She started her career at the Savannah College of Art & Design before moving back to St. Louis to settle into an entry-level public relations role at a boutique PR firm. There, she spent countless hours coordinating media relations, handling social media strategies, and writing content for in-house and external publications for her clients, which ranged from healthcare and academia to travel and tourism. After three years she decided to slow down a bit and began a strategist role at Washington University in St. Louis before migrating to the Department of Anesthesiology at the Medical School where she currently serves as a media & marketing administrator — essentially handling all aspects of website development, social media, and writing stories and articles for the website. Kelsey will earn her MBA from Olin School of Business in the summer of 2023 and will continue her work at the Department of Anesthesiology.
