On March 18, 2022, the Department of Anesthesiology matched with 20 outstanding physicians who will begin their anesthesiology internship this summer.
Dr. Mitchell will oversee the recruitment and training of a diverse and clinically excellent group of residents to become leaders in the field. She will continuously assess and improve our residency program and will be instrumental in the development of new initiatives focused on enhancing the training of our residents.
Doximity, an online network for medical professionals, recently ranked WashU’s anesthesiology residency program among the top ten training programs in its specialty.
The anesthesiology residency program at WashU continues to rank among the very best in the U.S. for “Best Anesthesiology Programs” by U.S. News & World Report.
On June 19, 2021, members of the Department of Anesthesiology gathered at Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, to recognize the graduating class of residents.
The Department is delighted to announce this year’s residency award recipients as well as the Outstanding Teacher award recipient.
On March 19, 2021, twenty-one physicians matched with our department to begin their anesthesiology residency, including two graduates from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
