Admission & Attire

Admission for department members is complimentary, however, if you’d like to invite a guest, a $50 admission fee will be applicable. Guests must be 21+ years old. Semi-formal or cocktail attire is preferred.

We are no longer accepting RSVPs for this event.

Admission fees will not benefit the ASSURE Fellowship program. There will be opportunities to learn more about the program and willing donations will be accepted at the event.

About the Anesthesiology Summer Research Fellowship (ASSURE) program

The Anesthesiology Summer Research Fellowship (ASSURE) program at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis provides college students from the St. Louis metro area an opportunity to engage in basic, clinical, and/or translational research projects.

Fellows engage in immersive 10-week summer projects under the mentorship of a Department of Anesthesiology faculty member.

The program launched its first cohort of students in the summer of 2021 with the hope of being able to better attract, train, mentor, and provide long-term career support for local students, with an emphasis on those historically underrepresented in science and medicine.  

The ASSURE fellowship program aims to continue growing in size and scope by seeking additional support through grants and philanthropic funding. This additional funding will help support the program’s goals and provide more opportunities to students interested in biomedical research fields and ensure its sustainability for years to come.
