Women of WUDA is a hub for women-led professional development with a focus on the specific needs of our department. We will host an annual retreat and frequent updates that center around professional development, education, and networking opportunities throughout the year.

The Barnes-Jewish Hospital Medical Staff Association has selected Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Residency Program Director, Allison Mitchell, MD, as a recipient of the Early Career Award.
Sydney Nykiel-Bailey, DO, and Ashley Weinhold, MD, have been honored with induction into the Academy of Educators at WashU Medicine. Recognized for their contributions to medical education and mentorship, they continue to shape the future of anesthesiology training and curriculum development.
Nokomis Ramos-Gonzalez, PhD, a postdoctoral trainee at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, recently received a 2024 PhRMA Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship in Drug Discovery. Her research focuses on developing new painkillers with fewer negative side effects.
