“I chose Washington University in St. Louis for the opportunity to learn from world-class pain medicine physicians and researchers in a friendly and thoughtful environment. This environment provides new challenges and opportunities for learning and growth each day. The Pain Management Center serves a diverse patient population with a vast array of pain conditions using cutting-edge technology. Being a large research institution, there are also ample opportunities to advance care for those who suffer from both chronic and acute pain. I wanted to be comfortable caring for patients of all ages and Washington University/St. Louis Children’s Hospital is unique in allowing me to tailor my year to that specific interest. I believe the strong exposure we receive to longitudinal multimodal management and the variety of interventional techniques will prepare me well. I have no doubt that I will be ready to function independently in caring for those who put their trust in me.”
