Join WashU Anesthesiology & ODEI as we honor the Black pioneers featured on WashU Medicine’s Desegregation Wall.
Inspired by the 2026 Black History Month theme, “A Century of Black and African American History Commemorations,” this event highlights the powerful stories of those who broke barriers, advanced equity, and shaped the future of medicine.
As you explore the exhibit, you’ll be invited to:
- Reflect on what desegregation meant for health care, patient experience, outcomes, and scientific developments.
- Recognize and celebrate the Black and African American students, staff, and physicians who stood up for change.
- Understand how remembering these stories fits into a century-long tradition of acknowledging and uplifting Black history.
Come experience an uplifting tribute to courage, resilience, and history in motion.
