What: Spring/early Summer unofficial anesthesiology bike ride! For this round, we’re going to switch it up a bit and head West to do some gravel/Katy trail/adventure riding.
When: 9:30 am on Saturday, June 11th
Where: Meet at Good News Brewing in Defiance, MO. There is also some parking across the street.
There are two routes available:
The first route will be ~25 miles and will include gravel, double track, a water crossing (or two), and probably a short hike through the woods. It’s going to be awesome and probably most ideal for folks who have slightly wider tires (32mm or more), although if you’re feeling rowdy on your road bike you can totally do it.
The second route is more tame and ideal for road bikes. It includes a short gravel climb but is largely going to be easy Katy trail riding with some regular old paved trails. We will split off at around 6 miles and meet back at the brewery.
The goal is for everyone to have fun, hang out, and enjoy a beer/pizza before heading back to St. Louis.
Additional obligate ride rules/disclaimers:
- Bring a bike
- Wear a helmet
- Bring some water
- Riding a bike can be dangerous and you can fall down. For this ride (especially the long one) we’re going to navigate some fun and interesting terrain. If you come ride bikes with us you are agreeing that you understand that.
If you are interested in coming and need a ride, let us know!
