School of Medicine news release •
Clare Ridley, MD, works with colleagues during the pandemic. Worldwide, as many as 10 percent of those infected with the novel coronavirus are frontline health-care workers. Now researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis are helming a worldwide study of up to 55,000 health-care workers to establish whether the antimalaria drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine might prevent or reduce the severity of COVID-19 infections in such workers.
