We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Zoller, MD, as a POD 3 Leader.
Dr. Zoller will be joining Dr. Rocco Hueneke in this role, providing excellent clinical leadership in POD 3 for patients undergoing Hepatobiliary, Vascular, Transplant, and Cardiothoracic procedures. In this role, Dr. Zoller will work closely with the WUDA and BJH Perioperative leadership in supporting clinical staff to promote safety, quality, and efficiency in perioperative care. Dr. Zoller will broaden our efforts to enhance teamwork, diversity and inclusion, and to ensure that POD 3 is a nurturing and safe environment for all members of the healthcare team. Dr. Zoller has demonstrated outstanding leadership and will be a valued addition to the WUDA clinical leadership team as he succeeds Dr. Adnan Sadiq as one of the POD 3 Leaders. We appreciate the contributions Dr. Sadiq made in this role and are pleased he will continue to make contributions in our department with his decision to focus more time on his ICU practice.
Dr. Zoller is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology in our department. He received his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. He completed residency in Anesthesiology at University of Kansas School of Medicine, followed by an Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine prior to joining our faculty in 2017. Clinically, he works in our cardiothoracic and general operating rooms and is a member of the liver transplant team. Dr. Zoller has made significant contributions in the realms of patient safety and clinical operations through the LVAD for non-cardiac surgery education initiative and his role as Director of the WUDA Perioperative TEE program.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Zoller. We are delighted that he has accepted this important leadership position, and we are looking forward to working with him in this new capacity.
