Equity Champions
An Equity Champion is a dedicated individual trained by Washington University School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI). These champions play a pivotal role in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the Department of Anesthesiology, helping to create a more fair and welcoming culture. They work closely with the ODEI and the department’s POWER office to provide DEI professional development and enhance the Understanding Systemic Racism curriculum for members.

RADAR Anesthesia Leaders
Raising Anesthesiology Diversity & Anti-Racism (RADAR), a collaboration between the anesthesiology departments of the University of Michigan and Washington University St. Louis, aims to boost diversity in anesthesiology by attracting underrepresented students, offering mentorship to early-career anesthesiologists, and providing resources for building inclusive communities.
