Rahul joined DoCTR in January 2024. He is originally from New York, but moved to Florida in 2007 and spent most of his childhood there. Rahul graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA. During his time as an undergraduate, he completed over a year of neuroscience research, focusing on the neurotransmitter dopamine and its effects on swimming-induced paralysis in the nematode worm c. elegans. He also volunteered at UPMC Shadyside in 2021 as part of the Hospital Elderly Life (HELP) program, working with delirium patients and helping maintain their cognitive function through conversation and other caretaking activities. In his free tie, Rahul enjoys cooking, reading, and hiking along with any other outdoor activities.
