The Department of Anesthesiology proudly congratulates the third cohort of Anesthesiology Summer Research (ASSURE) fellows on their successful completion of the 10-week intensive research program.

In a recent study published in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, Pratik Sinha, MB ChB, PhD, and his collaborators shed light on the heterogeneity of conditions such as sepsis and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The study’s insights may transform the understanding and treatment of clinically ill patients. 

Dr. York Jiao has been appointed as the inaugural Director of Clinical Informatics, effective August 1, 2023.

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Ziyan Song joined the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis on August 1, 2023.  He will have appointments in the Divisions of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine.

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Victoria Novoselova has joined the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology. 

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Ankita Satpute joined the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis on July 1, 2023.  She will have appointments in the Divisions of Regional and Ambulatory Anesthesiology and General Anesthesiology.
