Members from the Department of Anesthesiology, including residents, fellows, CRNAs, and physicians, recently attended the 56th Annual Meeting of the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP) in Denver, Colorado.
Brian Ruyle, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow in the Moron-Concepcion Lab, has been selected to present his research on opioid-induced respiratory depression at the 17th Annual Countermeasures Against Chemical Threats (CounterACT) Network Research Symposium. Additionally, he is one of just 10 trainees awarded a travel grant, providing him with the necessary funds to attend the event in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 3-5, 2024.

Simon Haroutounian, PhD, MSc, chief of the Division of Clinical and Translational Research (DoCTR) and chief of Clinical Pain Research at the Washington University Pain Center, has been honored with the Preclinical Teacher of the Year award by the graduating Class of 2024.
