Elizabeth Schappe and Tania Roberts were selected as finalists for the St. Louis Magazine 2023 Excellence in Nursing Awards!
Goldfarb School of Nursing, including the nurse anesthesia program, celebrated its commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Powell Symphony Hall. Overall, nine graduates completed their nurse anesthesia education and received a Doctor of Nursing Practice—the first cohort to graduate with a doctoral degree. Congratulations to the entire Class of 2022 Nurse Anesthesia cohort!
Alex Mohrmann has been named the CRNA Clinical Chief at BJH. In his new role, Alex will have the opportunity to build upon his experience as CRNA team leader to make a meaningful impact for our department.
Bernadette Henrichs, PhD, CRNA, CCRN, CHSE, FAANA, received the 43rd Helen Lamb Outstanding Educator Award from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) for her significant contributions to the education of nurse anesthetists.

In this new Associate Vice Chair role, Ms. Herrera will work closely with the Vice Chair for Professional Development and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and will develop and implement innovative well-being programs in the department.
The American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) recently awarded Dr. Henrichs the designation of Fellow of the AANA (FAANA), a recognized hallmark of leadership and professionalism in the profession and science of nurse anesthesia.
Abby will provide additional support for CRNAs, assist with orientation and onboarding of new team members, help create and implement protocols and practice changes, and serve as the liaison between peri-operative and surgical services.

Brian was presented with this award from the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College for his outstanding service to the College, the academic profession, and the community.
