Perspectives: Let’s Talk about CRT, Black History and Black Resistance!

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Friday, February 17th – 11:30a – 12:30p

Zoom Meeting – RSVP required

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion recently hosted a panel, “The Truth about Critical Race Theory (CRT)”, and is hosting the event above with one of the original scholars to develop CRT, Dr. Kevin Brown, on Friday, February 10th. We are hosting this Perspectives session to provide space to talk about all of the great information presented at those events!  As we honor Black History Month, and the National theme for 2023: Black Resistance, we will learn more about the Black scholars who developed CRT and their continued influence in the work for racial justice. We will also discuss the history of Black Resistance as a core part of the Black experience in America and how it can continue to inform our work.
