Honoring a pioneer in clinical outcomes research and a visionary leader in anesthesiology.
Join us for a special Grand Rounds honoring the life and legacy of William D. Owens, MD — former head of the Department of Anesthesiology (1982–92), esteemed educator, and a pioneer in clinical outcomes research whose work transformed anesthesiology at WashU Medicine and beyond.
This inaugural lecture will feature presentations by Michael S. Avidan, MBBCh, current head of the department, and Alex S. Evers, MD, former head of the department (1992–2019), highlighting Dr. Owens’lasting influence on the department and the field.
We invite faculty, trainees, alumni, and friends to celebrate a legacy of leadership, scholarship, and service.
