Dr. Angela Clark, PhD, RN, president of the Goldfarb School of Nursing, joins us to discuss navigating change.  In this episode, we explore the “Change Curve” and how it helps us understand the emotional and behavioral responses people experience during periods of change. We’ll share strategies—both personal and organizational—for navigating transitions, and highlight the resources available at Goldfarb and Washington University. We discuss why change is constant in healthcare and how building resilience is essential. We’ll also touch on how leaders can support teams—and themselves—through change with empathy, structure, and clarity.

The annual American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Award for Excellence in Research recognizes individuals for outstanding achievement in research that has or is likely to have an important impact on the practice of anesthesiology. The individual’s work represents a body of original, mature and sustained contribution to the advancement of the science of anesthesiology.
