The Janice Drake CRNA Humanitarian Award is presented to a CRNA/nurse anesthesiologist who volunteer(s) and provide(s) anesthesia, education, and training in needy areas of the United States and overseas.

The Kelley Mullen Clinical Service Award recognizes a clinical support staff member who consistently demonstrates ongoing acts of caring that go beyond the normally expected levels of courtesy, responsiveness, and customer service and creates a positive work environment. This award honors Kelley Mullen, a gifted nurse-clinician and administrator, who exemplified service quality and personified our clinical mission.

A team of U.S. doctors, including Dr. Justin Knittel, provided medical care and support to Ukrainian children who had suffered from bombings and burns.

Leadership development courses focus on empowering individuals to lead themselves, others and the university more effectively. Whether you’re an aspiring leader seeking to develop new skills or an existing people leader looking to refine your expertise, these courses will equip you to lead effectively, inspire others and influence organizational outcomes. These courses are open to all WashU staff and leaders at any level.

Learning from Teaching is a new means of awarding AMA PRA Category 1 Credit to faculty engaged in teaching, supervising, precepting, or evaluating medical students, residents, and fellows.

Dr. Justin Knittel works with the group “Doctors Collaborating to Help Children” to provide children in Ukraine with free plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Management development courses are designed to equip new and existing managers with the ability to manage people and processes effectively, with agility and confidence. Through these courses, managers will develop their skills and knowledge in overseeing teams, projects, and resources. These courses are open to all WashU managers at any level with at least one staff direct report.
