Nokomis Ramos-Gonzalez, PhD, a postdoctoral trainee at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, recently received a 2024 PhRMA Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship in Drug Discovery. Her research focuses on developing new painkillers with fewer negative side effects.

Meet Brian Torres, a CRNA in the Department of Anesthesiology, and also the assistant director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program, a collaboration between WashU Anesthesiology and Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing. Brian’s clinical practice focuses on anesthesia for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.
