Charlene Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from Brown University with a specific interest in the economics of education. During her undergraduate years, one of her most impactful experiences was collaborating with her peers in the economics of education class to propose policies aimed at improving education across socioeconomic lines. This work culminated in a presentation before the Rhode Island Council of Economic Advisors and the Governor, where they shared research findings grounded in education reform literature and relevant statistical data.
After graduation, Charlene was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship, which took her to South Korea, where she taught English to 600 high school boys. She then pursued a post-baccalaureate in premedical studies at Washington University in St. Louis and is currently continuing her education in the PMBA Program at WashU’s Olin Business School.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Charlene enjoys backpacking, weightlifting, and spending time with her standard poodle, Louie.
