Department of Anesthesiology Featured Member: May 2026

Marie-Lisette "Sette" Chapman, MSN, AGAC-NP, has been a member of the Surgical Critical Care APP team since 2023. In her role as a nurse practitioner, she provides care to critically ill patients and supports the ongoing success of the critical care service. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Spanish and International Health with a focus in healthcare administration (2012) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2014) from Clemson University, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing at Duke University in 2023. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she gained nearly ten years of experience in surgical and critical care nursing.

Since joining the group, Marie-Lisette has served as a preceptor for new hires and nurse practitioner students. She is passionate about education, mentorship, and fostering a supportive learning environment, and she enjoys helping others develop the same enthusiasm for critical care that inspires her work.

Outside of the hospital, Marie-Lisette enjoys baking sourdough, traveling, discovering new and delicious food, reading, crafting, and spending time with her husband and their pups. She is also a devoted Harry Potter fan.
