At the Center for INformatics, QUality Improvement, REsearch & Safety (INQUIRES), we unite informatics, quality improvement, research, and safety to shape the future of patient care. Our work ensures that data, collaboration, and innovation directly translate into better outcomes for patients and providers alike.

Mission

INQUIRES integrates data, quality improvement, and safety into everyday clinical practice to advance excellence in care. Through multidisciplinary collaboration, clinician engagement, evidence-based innovation, and strategic implementation, we foster accountability, a culture of safety, and continuous learning.

Vision

To drive continuous improvement in patient safety and quality of care, supported by informatics and research, that foster learning, clinical excellence, and innovation.

We are an active member of the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group (MPOG), a non-profit academic consortium of more than 100 investigators across 70+ institutions in 26 states and 3 countries.

MPOG leverages electronic health data to improve patient care through its Quality and Research pillars. We draw on these pillars to guide our own quality improvement, patient safety, and research initiatives.
