The Department of Anesthesiology is excited to share that Dr. Dolores Njoku, MD, was recently appointed as the Chair-Elect of the Children’s Medical Executive Committee (CMEC). Dr. Njoku is a Vice Chair in the Anesthesiology Department, the Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology, and the Anesthesiologist-in-Chief at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Her appointment as the Chair-Elect of the CMEC is well-deserved, and highlights her continued commitment to advancing pediatric healthcare at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
The CMEC comprises an exceptional group of healthcare professionals who oversee several crucial domains, such as credentialing, corrective actions, and policies and regulations. As Chair-Elect, Dr. Njoku will work alongside the current Chair and committee members to address the pressing challenges in pediatric healthcare, develop strategic initiatives, and ensure that the hospital continues to provide the highest quality of care.
