Featured Speaker
Dr. Sariya Saabye is an international speaker, bestselling author, minimalist strategist, barefoot ultramarathoner, acrobat, and Doctor of Physical Therapy who has dedicated her life to helping high performers eliminate noise, sharpen focus, and operate at their highest level.
In her keynote address, Will It Help You Beat the Reaper?®, Dr. Sariya Saabye introduces a simple but powerful question to help women cut through overwhelm and perfectionism—without lowering their standards or ambition. Rather than adding more tools or to-do lists, this talk helps women identify which demands actually matter, which ones quietly drain their energy, and how to stop running races they never meant to enter.

FAQs
- Do I have to stay the whole time?
- We’d love to have you, no matter how long you can stay.
- I want to know which of my colleagues have RSVPd.
- This list has that information for you!
- Are there assigned seats?
- No — this year, you will pick your table at the beginning of the event based on shared interests. The interest can simply be having a friend already at that table!
- When will we swap clothing and books?
- You will take your books and clothing upstairs at the beginning of the event to be organized. Shopping times will be between activities throughout the morning.
- Am I limited on the number of books/clothing items I can bring and take home?
- Yes, please only bring 1-5 of each. You don’t have to bring anything to take home — simply bring what you can and take what you want!
- What are you doing with the clothing/books that people don’t take home?
- At the end of the event, we will be donating clothing to Dress for Success Midwest and the Resale Shop, and bringing books back to WashU Medicine, where we have several WUDA-only libraries throughout campus (Northwest Tower, Peters, and CSRB).
- Why is SWoW being moved biennially?
- We’re moving SWoW to every other year so we can make the retreat bigger and more impactful. In the off years, we’ll focus on a service project or service day to continue building community and serving together.
