The Department of Anesthesiology is offering Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) classes on select Saturdays in 2025. These classes are exclusive to department members and provide comprehensive training in managing cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies.
ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led course emphasizing:
- Team dynamics and communication
- Systems of care
- Immediate post-cardiac-arrest care
- Airway management and related pharmacology
The course combines large group scenarios, small group case-based learning, and hands-on skills practice to reinforce proficiency. Successful participants will earn an ACLS course completion card, valid for two years.
Important Details:
- Cost: $132 (payable via discretionary account or personal check on the day of the class).
- Class Size: Minimum 6 students, maximum 8 students per session.
- Cancellation Policy: A confirmed class roster must be finalized one week before each session. If you cancel without sufficient notice or do not attend, you will be charged unless you find a replacement.

American Heart Association training sites for ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications
CPR St. Louis located in Manchester, MO, offers in-person classes, skills checks, and blended online learning. ACLS, BLS & PALS options offered.
This two-part process requires completion of the online program followed by an independent, self-directed skills session which MUST BE COMPLETED via one of the Voice Assisted Manikin (VAM) carts.
