Dr. Higo will help provide clinical guidance in one of the busiest and highest acuity surgical PODs on the BJH campus. He will collaborate with our surgical and BJH partners and support our clinical staff in promoting patient safety and quality, and efficiency of perioperative care.

David Eisenbath, CRNA, appointed Director for CRNA Activities
In this position, David will prioritize the delivery of outstanding clinical care and the careers of our CRNAs. He will lead strategic planning and goal setting for the CRNAs throughout our department and will also prioritize CRNA recruitment and retention, as well as the mentorship of SRNAs and early stage CRNAs.
Erin Herrera, CRNA, named Assistant Director for CRNA Activities
Erin will work closely with departmental leaders to provide leadership to the CRNA workforce and engage in strategic planning. She will help with CRNA recruitment, retention, career development, and day-to-day clinical operations.

Department celebrates CRNA Class of 2019
The Nurse Anesthesia program at the Goldfarb School of Nursing celebrated its Commencement on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at the Powell Symphony Hall in St. Louis. Seven students received their certification, five of whom will be staying on as CRNAs in the Washington University Department of Anesthesiology.
