Dear Colleagues –
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Levent Sahin joined the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis on October 23, 2023. He will have a primary appointment in the Division of Regional and Ambulatory Anesthesiology.
Dr. Sahin received his medical degree at Osmangazi University School of Medicine in Eskisehir, Turkey. He then completed his Residency in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at Sisli Eftal Education and Research Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey, before moving to the United States. Following residency, he completed a Clinical Research Fellowship with the Department of Anesthesiology at The Wexner Medical Center at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He then completed two fellowships in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Medicine—the first at the University of Iowa and the second at the University of Washington. We have been successful in recruiting him to Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis to join our faculty.
Dr. Sahin has clinical interests in regional anesthesia and acute pain management in addition to orthopedic and trauma anesthesia.
