4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Inspired by the legacy of Stuart Hall, this seminar will examine the vital connections between Black studies and cultural studies and explore how cultural analysis and production are key to understanding and preserving democracy as well as reimagining the future of higher education.

Rinaldo Walcott is professor and chair of the Department of Africana and American Studies at the University at Buffalo.

The Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity is a co-sponsor of The Sawyer Seminar Series, convened by Department of African and African American Studies and the Center for the Humanities.
