We are pleased to announce that Rachel Moquin, Ed.D., has accepted the inaugural role of Director of Learning and Development. In this exciting new role, Dr. Moquin will work closely with Drs. Thompson and Mitchell, other faculty leaders in the residency, faculty mentors, and administrative staff to develop a strategic vision for education through identifying areas of strength, opportunity, and growth in our current educational programs. Dr. Moquin will work to better define educational goals, objectives, and methodologies to meet departmental objectives and ensure the sharing of best practices and educational strategies. Furthermore, she will help develop innovative and effective techniques in instruction, feedback practices, evaluation, and skills assessment.
Dr. Moquin earned her B.A. in Public Policy Leadership and Political Science and her M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mississippi. She then went on to earn a Doctorate in Education at Vanderbilt University. She has served in various roles within education, most recently as an Adjunct Professor at Union University in Memphis, TN.
The Director of Learning and Development is an extremely important new role, for which Dr. Moquin is highly qualified. Please join us in congratulating her, and please assist her in the further development of our departmental educational initiatives.
