WashU’s Anesthesiology residency and fellowship classes came together in June to celebrate the accomplishments of their graduates.
Medical students and faculty collaborate to integrate climate change education into WashU’s curriculum, fostering awareness and inspiring students to mitigate healthcare’s environmental impact. One initiative focused on volatile gases utilized during operative procedures, resulting in a 60% reduction in the carbon footprint of anesthesia gases and yielding substantial cost savings.

Brandon Tan, MD, was recently awarded Mentored Research Training Grant from the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) to support his research on lipid modulation of the serotonin 3 receptor.

Isabella Riordan, MD, has been appointed as the Division Chief of the Progress West Hospital Division of Anesthesiology.
Dolores B. Njoku, MD, an esteemed clinician, researcher, and mentor, was installed as the Rudolph L. and Mary Frances Wise Endowed Chair in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis on Monday, May 8, 2023.
