Ro Sandoval, research technician in the Moron-Concepcion Lab, was recently recognized by the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS).
Dr. Evers will serve as the Interim Director of the Center for Clinical Pharmacology (CCP) as leadership looks to recruit a dynamic and visionary Center Director.
Dr. Karen Seibert, Professor of Anesthesiology, Pathology and Immunology, and Genetics, and Executive Director of the Center for Clinical Pharmacology (CCP) in our department, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020.
Andrea will work closely with Pediatric and CRNA leadership to enhance teamwork and peri-operative care of the pediatric patient.
Dr. Moron-Concepcion’s presentation will focus on how persistent pain alters the rewarding and motivational properties of opioids and will highlight the work of the research being conducted in the department.
Dr. Stevens will collaborate with hospital and department leaders as well as members of the division to ensure the delivery of outstanding care to our cardiothoracic patients.
This partnership in cardiothoracic surgical care between Washington University in St. Louis and BJC provide both MBMC and WUDA with opportunities for growth and elevation of the care provided for cardiothoracic patients in the greater St. Louis area.
The Pain Management Center was recently honored with a 5-star award from the Professional Research Consultants (PRC). This award designation is given annually to facilities that score in the top 10% of PRC’s national client database.
Dr. Fritz’s project focuses on how machine learning can be used to determine which patients are at high risk for complications after surgery.
Trish will be working closely with APP and department leadership to ensure appropriate APP staffing and resource allocation across all of the department’s critical care areas.
