We are excited to announce the Anesthesiology Chief Residents for the next 2021-2022 academic year will be Ramya Baddigam, MD, Micaela Clark, MD, and Christian Guay, MD.
The COVID-19 Exceptional and Exemplary Duties (COVETED) Awards recognize individuals within the department who have demonstrated exceptional service and performance during the pandemic.
Dr. David Murray, a longtime member of our department, recently announced his plans to retire from Washington University in May 2021.
Dr. Njoku will work closely with other senior leaders in the Anesthesiology Department, with Hospital and University leaders in St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and with institutional leaders in BJC and Washington University School of Medicine broadly.

Dr. Baron Chanda received a grant from the NINDS to to study cells’ ion channels as potential targets for new drugs to treat disorders affecting the brain, heart and muscles.
