Dr. Dolores Njoku was recently elected to serve a three-year term on the Faculty Practice Plan’s (FFP) Board of Directors, as one of the six Faculty-at-Large Representatives. The FFP is governed by the Board’s 27 voting and 3 non-voting members, and is responsible for overseeing the medical school’s clinical practice activities.
Dr. Njoku is the Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology at Washington University and Anesthesiologist-in-Chief at St. Louis Children’s Hospital (SLCH). She joined the department in 2021—read more about her recent appointment, here.
“Dr. Njoku is an incredible leader and an invaluable asset to our department,” says Michael Avidan, MBBCh, Seymour and Rose T. Brown Professor of Anesthesiology and head of the Department of Anesthesiology. “I know she will bring valuable insight, unique perspective, and outstanding leadership to the Faculty Practice Plan’s Board of Directors.”
There are currently six faculty-at-large members on the FPP Board. In addition to Dr. Njoku, the members are: Douglas Char, MD (Emergency Medicine), Maria Doyle, MD (Surgery), Allison Ogden, MD (Otolaryngology) Kimberly Quayle, MD (Pediatrics), and Tonya Russell, MD, (Internal Medicine).
