Mr. Brad Uding receives the Student Excellence Award

Mr. Brad Uding, a nurse anesthesia student from Barnes-Jewish College and performing clinical rotations in the Department of Anesthesiology, received the 2018 AANA Student Excellence Award. He was recognized at a Student Luncheon in September at the Nurse Anesthesia Annual Congress which was held in Boston, Massachusetts.

Brad was the only student given this award after being nominated by his program director, Bernadette Henrichs, because of his demonstrated excellence in leadership, scholarship, and service. “Brad gives 110% to his education, both didactically and clinically. He is very dedicated to becoming a successful CRNA and I am excited that he received this award”, commented Henrichs.

This is an important award sponsored by the AANA Education Committee which recognized his outstanding accomplishment among more than 2000 nurse anesthesia students.

Brad will be graduating in December, 2018 and is taking a position as a CRNA in the Washington University Department of Anesthesiology after graduation.
