Drs. Enyo Ablordeppy, Allison Mitchell, and Sunny Lou have been elected to Elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Mark Arcario, MD, PhD, was recently awarded a $250,000 Mentored Research Training Grant from the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) for his project titled, “Understanding Allosteric Modulation of Pentameric Ligand-Gated Ion Channels by Fatty Acids.”

Drs. Palanca and Lenze have received a grant from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) to begin the Slow Wave Induction by Propofol to Eliminate Depression (SWIPED) clinical trial.

Sunny Lou, MD, PhD, a Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellow at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis was awarded $50,000 in funding to measure inpatient clinician work patterns and inter-professional communication from the American Medical Association’s (AMA) Electronic Health Record (EHR) use Metrics Research Project.
